Century Office Equipment Ltd was founded in 1975 by Fred Bays with his sons Rodney, Ken and Ken's wife Doris. The company was named for its address - 100 Church Rd, Tiptree.

In 1983 Ken and Doris took over the company followed in later years by their sons Steve and Gavin and daughter Claire.

A second branch was opened in 1988 in Basildon, Essex. Followed by another in 1997 in Harlow.

In 1993 the company was asked to supply bespoke furniture to some of its clients. This lead to Century developing its own ranges of furniture. Within four years the Company had designed and developed a portfolio of ranges from budget to executive desking and seating.

Our aim has not changed over the years, we still believe in supplying furniture that is of good quality and great value for money.

The Company is keen to hear the views of its customers on goods and services which we provide in order that we can continue to improve prices, quality and service.
